The exclusive Foundation Room sits high atop the Mandalay Bay Resort towers at the extreme south end of the Las Vegas Strip. This luxurious lounge is an extension of the famous House of Blues and provides an upscale environment for the elite to party. The House of Blues is the epitome of cool but the Foundation Room takes the VIP party scene to another level.
To maintain its exclusivity, the club offers memberships with plenty of perks for those who want to make the Foundation Room their main place to party. Members receive special drink and dining offers as well as exclusive access to select House of Blues and Live Nation performances. Additional benefits include complimentary or discounted parking, complimentary entry to live Foundation Room entertainment, including late-night DJ performances, quarterly member appreciation events with hosted bar, access to monthly theme parties and gourmet dinners and guest passes.
Access to this nightlife treasure is via a private elevator that opens up to the 43rd floor. There you will step into the Lounge as you pass by the giant Buddha. The exotic décor immediately envelopes you as comfortable sofas invite you to unwind by the fireplace. Tibetan and Indian artifacts complement wood walls featuring intricate carvings. All combine to create a mystical ambiance as the ideal backdrop for sipping cocktails and passing the time with friends.
The venue features seven secluded chambers, each with its own design theme and function. The main dining room is bathed in a warm glow created by antique chandeliers reflecting life off the decadent gold leaf ceiling. Patio dining doesn’t get any better in Las Vegas as table views at the Foundation Room offer breathtaking scenes of the Strip at night.
The Ganesh Prayer and Buddha rooms are available for guests seeking a private dining experience. Those planning a group event, including a birthday, bachelor, or bachelorette party, can ask about reserving the 1856 or Gothic room, each with its own dedicated bartender to keep the party lively.
The Shangri-La Room is appointed with unique historical fixtures that are accurately restored and impeccably displayed. The chandelier hanging from the ceiling was salvaged from the wreckage of the MGM Grand after a devastating fire ripped through the hotel in 1978. The decorative confessionals attached to the walls are from a church in Ireland.
Menu options include a wide selection of small plates and salads, including Chicken Lollipops served with Texas beurre blanc, gorgonzola aioli and micro celery. Charcuterie and Cheese platters feature a variety of exotic meats and cheeses served with sourdough baguette, peppadews, pickled red onions, apple cider mustard, jalapeno pepper jelly and fig jam. The entrée menu includes steak, pork chops, lamb and sustainable fresh fish. The restaurant serves wine by the glass or by the bottle as well as champagnes and sparkling wines. They will open any bottle you bring for an additional corkage fee.
Live DJ performances take place in the Lounge and Shangrai-La room. Friday night is Ladies’ Night with Bubbles for Beauties. Ladies 21 and older enjoy complimentary entry and a free two-hour champagne bar. Members can indulge in weeknight Nibbles & Sips, an exclusive event Monday through Thursday evenings with $5 specialty cocktails and select menu items.
The bar is set up to the left side of the main room with a small walkway, which often serves as dancing space, separating it from the seating area. The DJ booth is located to the right of the main entrance. Another DJ booth on the patio offers a different kind of music giving guests two nightclub experiences to choose from in one venue.
