Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay is Where the Party is Day and Night

Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay opened in 2013 as the city’s newest entry to the dayclub scene and with 50,000 square feet of space it’s also one of the biggest. Nothing is understated about this enormous entertainment complex and make no mistake about it, this is not the place to relax poolside and catch up on your summer reading. Inspired by the beach party culture in Ibiza, this place has party written all over it. Expect huge crowds (up to 5,000 for major events), heart pounding beats and nonstop action everywhere you look.

The 4,400 square foot pool featuring three wet decks may be the main attraction for those looking for relief from the desert summer but the focal point for this purpose-built venue is the massive 1,500 square foot elevated stage. Guests have unobstructed views of the most popular DJs in the business as they work their musical magic backed by a state-of-the-art sound system and six large LED screens.

Resident DJs a Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay serve double duty as daytime party masters on the poolside stage. Electronic dance music giants Alesso, Krewella, Skrillex, Nicky Romero and Sebastian Ingrosso are among the talented performers that take turns providing the sounds.

Rustic planters, decorative wrought iron railings, Mexican wall sconces and lush foliage create the backdrop for this exotic poolside paradise. Guests have multiple seating options with 70 daybeds, 25 cabanas and private bungalows on and around the pool deck.

Cabanas come equipped with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, wall mounted flat screen television, credenza, sofa and coffee table. Tie-back curtains provide additional privacy as desired. Guests can keep their drinks cool in a mini fridge. Additional extras include plastic cups, plastic champagne flutes, an ice bucket and extra towels. Each cabana also has a large daybed located right outside the main entrance

The two Ultra VIP Bungalows are located on either side of the stage. The elevated areas have their own private pool/Jacuzzi overlooking the main pool deck. Guest also have access to private restrooms and wait staff to meet their needs.

Lockers are available for guests to secure their valuables. Bottle service customers have individual safes right at the tables and each cabana also has a personal safe.

New for the 2014 pool season were a 448-square foot private pool for use by the north side cabana guests and a 245 square foot pool for the southwest side cabanas.

The Sunday night Eclipse concert series offers poolside dancing and spectacular special effects for a nightclub experience under the stars.

The food and drink at Daylight Beach Club are just as sophisticated as the décor. Food options include fresh sushi and sashimi. The main bar stretches across the back of the venue. Choose from an extensive menu of signature cocktails, including the Daylight White Sangria, the Baja and the Cucumber Cooler. The Clooney is George’s own cocktail that starts with his Casamigos tequila. Mix in lime juice, agave nectar, ruby red grapefruit juice, pomegranate seeds and fill a salt-rimmed glass with San Pelligrino Pompelmo and you too, can drink like an Oscar award winning actor/producer.

If money is no object, consider one of the club’s Champagne Shower packages. Wet, Soaked and Drenched offer magnums of Veuve Cliquot or jeroboams of Perrier-Jouet but what’s really spectacular is the presentation. A waitress riding a boat carried by pirates will deliver your bubbly

Regular hours of operation are Friday through Sunday, 11 am until 6 pm. Doors for Sunday night’s Eclipse even open at 10 pm and the party goes until 3 am. Guests are required to wear upscale stylish swimwear. No athletic wear, cut-offs, offensive prints, chains, baggy clothing, see-through clothing or hard soled shoes and boots are allowed.
